Credit tracking

In Baki Fast, a credit sale is three taps: pick the customer, type the amount, save. The balance updates at once, so you always know who owes you how much.

Updated:

How do you write an entry?

  1. On the Book screen, tap the customer (or type a new name to add them).
  2. Tap Credit or Payment.
  3. Type the amount on the keypad. Sums like "125+40" work too.
  4. Add a note, date, due date or items if you like, and save.

The moment you save, the customer’s balance, the book’s total and the day summary update. If you made a mistake, tap the entry to fix it or delete it.

Itemised credit: quantity × price

When a customer asks what they bought, show the items instead of saying "some things in October". Write lines like "2 bread, 1 milk, 1.5 kg cheese"; quantities can be fractions (kg, metres) and the total works itself out.

Due dates, installments and limits

  • Due date: write the day payment is due; overdue and upcoming dues stand out in the list.
  • Installments: split a big sale into equal monthly parts; each one has its own due date ("Installment 2/3"). To see the numbers in advance, try the installment calculator.
  • Credit limit: set the most credit you will give a customer; if an entry would go over it, you are warned before saving.

Customers and suppliers together

The book has two sides: customers who owe you, and suppliers you owe. You write goods bought from a supplier, and what you pay them, just as easily; the top of the screen shows both what you will receive and what you owe.

Search, filter and sort

Search by name, phone, note or item. Filter to customers who owe you or who are overdue; sort by amount, due date or oldest debt. Even in a busy book you find what you need in seconds.

Moving from a paper book? Writing each customer with today’s balance is enough. The details are in the paper to app guide, and how to keep a credit book covers the basics.

Questions

How many customers can I add?

There is no limit. Customers, suppliers and entries are unlimited in the free version too.

Can I write credit in a different currency?

Yes. Each customer can have their own currency: your local currency, US dollars, euros, gold and others.

How do I fix a wrong entry?

Tap the entry, change the amount or the note, and save. A deleted entry also comes off the balance.
