Backup and privacy
A paper book gets wet or lost. In Baki Fast your entries stay on your phone, are backed up by themselves every day and can be locked. When they go to the cloud, they go encrypted.
Updated:
No account, your data
Baki Fast does not ask for an e-mail, phone number or password. Your entries are kept on your phone; they are not sent to ad networks or anywhere else.
Backups
- An automatic backup on the phone every day
- Back up now makes one file: send it to Drive, e-mail or WhatsApp
- On a new phone, Restore from file brings everything back
App lock
Lock the app with a PIN, face or fingerprint. Your book stays closed even when your phone is in someone else’s hands.
End-to-end encrypted cloud backup
Turn on the cloud backup with one tap; backing up one phone is free. Your book is encrypted on your phone and goes to the server encrypted: the server cannot see customer names or amounts, and the key is only on your devices and in the recovery code you are given. Opening the same book on a computer or another phone is part of Pro; you add the device with a QR code, like WhatsApp Web.
Write the recovery code on paper and keep it safe. Without the code or another linked device, nobody can open the encrypted data; we can’t either.
Questions
Is my cloud data deleted when Pro ends?
No, no record is deleted and the book on your phone keeps working. On the free plan the cloud backs up one device, so syncing pauses until the other devices are removed.
Are photos backed up too?
For now, photos added to entries stay on the phone that took them; they move with the backup file.
