Moving from OkCredit to Baki Fast

OkCredit’s own pages describe the account statement and the monthly collection report as PDF downloads, and Baki Fast cannot read PDF files. To move, note each person’s balance in OkCredit and paste the list into Baki Fast, one person per line with name and amount; you check a preview before anything is saved.

What does OkCredit say about statements and reports?

OkCredit’s website says you can produce a full account statement for any customer and a monthly collection report, download them as PDF and share them. Its pages do not mention an Excel or CSV export. Its Play Store listing describes a ledger of money to receive from customers and money to pay to suppliers, with reports and statements.

OkCredit’s pages also say the same khata opens in a browser at web.okcredit.in. Reading the balances on a computer while you type them into your phone is one way to make the list.

How do you move customers and suppliers?

  1. In OkCredit, download the PDF statement of each customer you want to keep as a record.
  2. Note each current balance. Two short lists are easiest: customers who owe you, and suppliers you owe.
  3. In Baki Fast, open Settings › Import from another app or Excel and tap Paste a balance list.
  4. Paste the customers’ list, tap Read, choose Customers and They owe me, check the preview and save.
  5. Do the same with the suppliers’ list, choosing Suppliers and I owe them.
Customers who owe you

Anil Traders 2,400 Priya: 850.50 Kiran - ₹12,000

A supplier in the customers’ list? Change that line to Supplier in the preview, and put a minus in front of the amount if you owe them (−3,000). A name already in your book is marked Already there: Add the balance to that person or Skip it.

How do you check the totals?

After saving, compare what Baki Fast shows as owed to you and owed by you with the totals you noted from OkCredit. If one is off, Undo on the “Saved” message removes the whole list, so you can fix the text and paste it again.

Lines that cannot be read are listed with the reason and never guessed. “Kiran 1 250” could be 1,250, or a “Kiran 1” who owes 250, so write “Kiran: 1 250” or “Kiran 1,250”.

What stays in OkCredit?

The list brings current balances, not every past entry. OkCredit’s pages say entries are backed up online and that logging in again restores the khata, so the history stays available there; keep the PDF statements as your own record. For dated entries in a spreadsheet, see moving from paper or Excel.
